Designed in the naturalistic Weinrebe / Weinlaub tradition, the bowl is sculpted in the form of layered grape leaves and flowing vine tendrils — a classic symbol of hospitality, abundance and craftsmanship from the height of the Jugendstil movement. Unlike pressed or stamped examples, this piece is solid cast brass, hand-finished after casting, giving it a sculptural depth and beautifully organic rimline. The surface shows finely modelled leaf veining and deliberately pierced negative spaces, enhancing the play of light and shadow — typical of high-quality German decorative metalwork from this period. The dish carries a warm, golden brass patina with minor age-related traces of use, fully in line with its 110+ year history, and remains in structurally excellent condition. Polished and waxed for a lasting golden shine.
