Tabletop terrestrial globe “Columbus-Erdglobus”, published by Columbus-Verlag G.m.b.H., Berlin-Lichterfelde, Germany, dating to the first half of the 20th century (c. 1920s–1930s). Printed cartography on applied paper gores, in the German language, with a clearly legible geographic graticule and scale 1:38,500,000, edited by Dr. R. Neuse (Oberrealschuldirektor), as stated in the cartouche. Mounted with a graduated brass meridian, inclined axis, and a compass integrated into the base. Support consisting of a turned solid-wood column and base. Good condition consistent with age, showing widespread spotting and foxing on the cartographic surface and normal signs of wear; stable structure and original components throughout.
