Camera with the number 62911 was originally been produced in 1931 as model IA. In the fifties, after 1954, it was converted at Leica to model IIIa syn. Until late sixties Leica was offering upgrade of older models to at that time current standards. Depending on the time when upgrade was done and what was the original camera amount of spare parts added/replaced varied. In case of intensive upgrades customer received brand new camera with original serial number. And such a case is offered camera – there is no single part originating from IA from 1931. Camera has been CLAed and is working according to factory specs. Rangefinder clear, adjusted, measured speeds are within the table attached. There is some patina on black paint, see detailed photos. Red scale Elmar 5cm has serial number 866767 and is from 1951. Lens is clean with minimal cleaning marks. Aperture and focusing smooth.
