Magnificent breakthrough centrepiece with handles, produced by Herend - “Queen Victoria” Collection, applied rose buds and leaves, Limited Edition, in excellent to pristine condition.
This magnificent reticulated centrepiece has scalloped edge with gold trim, reticulated border highlighted in celeste blue on the inside and gold on the outside.
The colorful floral and foliate “Queen Victoria “ pattern includes butterflies and other garden insects and was first introduced in 1851 for the First World Exhibition in London.
Reportedly, Queen Victoria herself, was taken with the design and purchased a set, leading to the pattern being named in her honor.
According to Herend literature, "this Chinese-influenced pattern demands the skills of Herend's most talented and experienced painters."
