Additionally, there is a handwritten note in pen by the previous owner on the handle: “特調用” (for special/custom use). Yanagiba (center) Blade is clearly marked with: “Sakai Registered Trademark – Masashige Saku (堺 登録商標 正重作)” and “Yasuki Steel – Hon-Tanren (安来鋼 本鍛錬)”, indicating high-quality traditional steel and forging. The handle also bears a burned stamp reading “Sakai Registered Masashige Saku” (堺登録 正重作). Small knife (right) Signed “Kiyotsuna Saku (清綱作)”.
