Seiko - ''Daini'' - Ohne mindestpreis - 6300-8000 - Herren - 1978
A superb and rare example of a Seiko Ref. 6300-8000, manufactured in March 1978. While Seiko is world-renowned for its automatic calibers, this model features the elusive 63A manual-wind movement produced by the Daini Seikosha factory.
This specific timepiece is in near-mint condition, boasting a level of preservation rarely seen in 1970s Seiko dress watches.
Dial & Hands:
The silver sunburst dial is in flawless condition, reflecting light beautifully from the center. It features applied faceted steel indices and the "Daini" lightning bolt logo at 6 o'clock. The needle-thin handset is original and oxidized-free.
Case & Caseback:
The stainless steel case remains sharp with its original factory-brushed finish on the lugs and polished bezel. The screw-down caseback is clearly engraved with the serial number 836954 and the 6300-8000 reference.
Movement:
At the heart is the 17-jewel Seiko 63A manual-wind movement. It has been recently serviced, ensuring excellent timekeeping and a crisp winding action. This is a robust, high-grade mechanical caliber that offers a slimmer profile on the wrist compared to its automatic counterparts.
Auctioneer’s Note
For the vintage Seiko collector, the 6300-8000 is a sophisticated "sleeper" piece. It represents a bridge between Seiko's utilitarian reliability and the elegant thinness of manual-wound dress watches. This serviced example is ready to wear or display.
