Art Deco Buntglasfenster - 1920-1930 - 41x61cm

FREE SHIPPING to NL, IT, FR, BE, DE, ES Large Art Deco Stained Glass Window – Abstract Geometric Composition – ca. 1920–1930 In excellent condition – No reserve A striking and highly decorative Art Deco stained glass panel dating from the interwar period, executed in a bold abstract–geometric composition. The design is characterized by strong symmetry, architectural lead lines and a refined palette of vivid primary and secondary colors, including cobalt blue, emerald green, amber, yellow and a powerful red central accent. The composition clearly reflects the influence of early modernist and Art Deco design principles, where geometry, balance and colour harmony take precedence over figurative imagery. When light passes through the glass, the panel produces an exceptionally vibrant and dynamic light effect, transforming the surrounding space throughout the day. This window would originally have served as an interior architectural feature—suitable for a hallway, stairwell, office, or salon—but today functions equally well as a stand-alone art object, suspended in front of a window or mounted against a light source. Subtle air bubbles and gentle irregularities are visible within the coloured glass. These inclusions are characteristic of hand-made, early 20th-century stained glass and are widely regarded as authentic markers of traditional glass production. Far from being flaws, they enhance the depth, texture and lively light refraction of the panel, contributing to its warm, vibrant appearance when illuminated.
