The Franklin Mint and the precision watchmakers of Switzerland have joined forces to create The Silver Hunter Watch in 1982. The outer case was designed and sculptured by the artists of The Franklin Mint. The latched cover is decorated with an elaborate repoussé design which is repeated around the rim and on the stem. The back of the watch depicts a hunter and his dog chasing an elusive fox. On the watch's face in an original work art portraying a group of 18th-century hunters riding in pursuit of their quarry. The case was minted in solid sterling silver and sent to Switzerland where a fine 17-jewel Swiss movement was set in place. The case was hand burnished to recapture the beauty of the watches that gentleman wore. Item is in excellent, working condition and comes with original presentation box (very good condition).
