This end cut of NWA 14456 is classified as an Ordinary Chondrite, H6, which was found in 2021, in Northwest Africa. Weighing 98.4 grams, the specimen is rather sizable, boasting a relatively large surface area, due in part to its somewhat flattened form, and this complex offering also represents a considerable portion of the meteorite, which has a Total Known Weight of only 1,935 grams. With numerous clasts over its smooth face that look a bit like lunar material, this amazing piece with a rocky exterior is a very 'fresh' example of a highly recrystallized meteorite containing rare remnant chondrules. The complexity and contrasts of the display surface are truly amazing, and the rugged outside of the space rock is naturally artistic. Metallic flecks over the face add even further intrigue.
