The piece was crafted in 1982 (Showa 57) and is now regarded as a Japanese antique lacquerwork from the late Showa period. It was originally produced as a commemorative gift for a 77th birthday celebration (喜寿・Kiju), a milestone traditionally honored in Japan with special artisanal works. Executed in the traditional Maki-e（蒔絵） technique, finely sprinkled gold powder is applied over deep black lacquer, creating a subtle yet luminous contrast. The work is signed by the artist Keishi（恵志）, whose refined control and sensitivity are evident in the balanced composition and elegant detailing.
