Reinad gorgeous vintage Murano Gripoix style vintage classic clip earrings. Beautiful color combination. The green, red and blue polished stones are set in gold/bronze plated metal. Reinad was incorporated in New York in 1930 (although many online references mention 1922 as a starting date). Several different addresses have been documented for this jewelry manufacturing business, all under the name Reinad Novelty. Their early jewelry was most often marked Reinad in block letters. This business also used the name Chanel Novelty for one season in the spring of 1941. They were forced to change the name back to Reinad Novelty after litigation initiated by the House of Chanel. These pieces were most often marked Chanel in script, although some can be found marked with both Reinad and Chanel script signatures.
