Kupferguss - Kabuki Hideaki 株木秀明 - Sehr glückverheißende bronzene Statuen von Mandarinenten - Shōwa Zeit (1926-1989)

This bronze statue of Mandarin Ducks was created by metalwork artist Kabuki Hideaki 株木秀明. Mandarin Ducks are water birds of the Anatidae family that live in mountain streams, lakes, and marshes throughout Japan. Males are brightly colored, especially from autumn onwards. Females are much more subdued in color than males. Meaning of “Oshidori Couple” (Mandarin Duck Couple) In Japan, a pair of mandarin ducks is traditionally called an “Oshidori couple.” This term symbolizes a loving, faithful, and harmonious married couple. Mandarin ducks are believed to stay with the same partner for life, and because they are always seen swimming together in pairs, they have long been regarded as a symbol of marital harmony, loyalty, and enduring love in East Asian culture. For this reason, mandarin duck motifs are often used in art, ornaments, kimono patterns, and wedding gifts as a wish for a happy and lasting marriage. Today, when Japanese people say “They are an oshidori couple,” it means: A couple who love each other deeply and live together in harmony. High: 13.0 cm Width: 28.8 cm Depth: 14.7 cm Weight: 1500 g Condition: The condition is generally good. There are scratches, stains, scuffs, peeling, rust, etc. It was kept at home. The box is very fragile. It may have been damaged upon arrival. Please consider it as a bonus. There are also many photos, so please take a look. Atention: The items listed for sale are all used collectibles.
