The candle sockets are removable and screw-mounted, and the base is screw-fixed, indicating practical construction intended for regular use. The surface shows a natural patina, consistent with age and respectful use, with minor signs of wear typical of an antique metal object. The underside bears an original retailer’s label marked “Evrard”, featuring an Alpha–Omega symbol and a cross. The Evrard company was founded in Liège (Belgium) in 1899 and is historically known for the production and distribution of religious metalwork.
