Jyoka are symbolic artificial flowers used in Buddhist practice, modelled after the lotus, which is regarded as the most sacred flower in Buddhism. The lotus represents purity, wisdom, and compassion, as it blooms clean and untouched even when growing from muddy water. Each arrangement depicts multiple lotus blossoms, buds, and leaves rising gracefully from the vessel. The flowers and stems are formed in brass, with a warm golden tone that enhances their ceremonial presence. The vases feature lotus motifs decorated with silver and brass inlay, adding a subtle decorative contrast. Some areas of the inlay show loss, consistent with age and long-term use. The pair shows surface wear including scratches, discolouration, verdigris, light corrosion, and general signs of use. Overall, the condition ranges from fair to good for their age and purpose. Please refer to the photos for details. These pieces retain a dignified presence and remain well suited for display or use within a traditional Buddhist altar setting. Dimensions: approx.
