Verdal - Chronograph - Ohne mindestpreis - Herren - 1950-1959

This is a beautiful and authentic Swiss Made vintage chronograph from the 1950s, signed Verdal, a period-correct mechanical timepiece that reflects the golden age of Swiss chronograph manufacturing. The watch features a warm gold-plated case measuring 36 mm, a size typical for the era and highly wearable today, paired with a classic silver dial protected by an acrylic crystal. The dial shows a balanced and elegant chronograph layout, with two recessed sub-dials, applied hour markers, Arabic numerals at 12 and 6, and a finely printed outer scale. The patina visible on the dial is fully consistent with age and adds genuine character, confirming originality rather than restoration. The leaf-shaped hands and chronograph pushers further reinforce the authentic mid-century aesthetic. Inside beats the renowned Swiss mechanical Venus 185 movement, one of the most respected manual-wind chronograph calibres of its time, known for its reliability, smooth operation, and historical importance in Swiss watchmaking. The watch offers hour, minute, small seconds, and chronograph functions. The caseback is stainless steel and marked “Swiss Waterproof – Antimagnetic – Stainless Steel Back,” consistent with period specifications. Water resistance has not been tested and cannot be guaranteed due to the age of the watch. The watch is fitted with a generic leather strap, suitable for a wrist up to approximately 22 cm. It is offered in Grade B condition, showing visible signs of use consistent with its age and normal wear, with no attempt to hide its history. A generic box is included.
