Rare large Gouda pottery vase – Royal Zuid-Holland Pottery Factory – “Chrysanthemum” décor – approx. 60+ cm Beautiful large antique Gouda pottery vase from the Netherlands, produced by N.V. Koninklijke Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland (Gouda). The vase is richly hand-painted with chrysanthemums in warm shades of yellow, blue and green, executed in a characteristic Art Deco / late Art Nouveau style. The decoration is refined and highly detailed, with an attractive colour contrast against the cream-coloured background. The top and base are finished with a dark brown to black glaze featuring the distinctive drip decoration. Clearly marked on the base: Kon.
