A part of the tempranillo comes from the oldest own vineyards located in the subarea of the Rioja Alta, mainly from the municipalities of Ollauri, Rodezno and Cenicero. The rest of the mazuelo and graciano of the farms Melchorón I and II of Briones and Rodezno. A small part of the assembly was purchased, after a selection of grapes from the best majuelos of local producers, with the condition of containing enough sugar to produce at least 12% alcohol and without mixing white grapes.
