Although some characters have been smoothed by time, the inscription reads approximately “+AVE MARIA GRACIA PLENA”, a devotional formula invoking the Virgin Mary, frequently used on rings of this type. The inner band has been expertly shaped for comfort and bears consistent patination throughout, indicating extended burial and age. This ring likely served both as a personal devotional object and a protective talisman, worn daily by a Christian believer.
