I´m offering here a stylish pair of table lamps from the “Berio” series, produced by Massive for Philips, a renowned Dutch lighting brand founded in 1891. Massive, the Belgian manufacturer within the Philips group, was known for high-quality contemporary lighting design in the late 20th and early 21st century. These lamps feature a sculptural oval form made of polished aluminium, creating a clean, minimalist silhouette. The open design allows the light to spread indirectly, producing a warm and atmospheric glow while also functioning as a decorative object even when switched off. Produced in the early 2000s, the Berio model reflects the modern design language of the period, combining simplicity, geometry and high-quality materials. Today, the model is discontinued and increasingly appreciated on the secondary design market. A refined pair of lamps suitable for modern, minimalist or industrial interiors, as well as an attractive collectible example of early-2000s European lighting design.
