Unplayed and therefore in perfect, as-new condition. This Lunar Ice example is from 2021 and features the original, highly powerful first-generation pickups of the Silver Sky series. An iconic guitar that was produced for only a very short period. The Lunar Ice finish is truly stunning: depending on the light, the color shifts from deep purple to blue and blue-grey (see photos). This color variation is difficult to capture accurately in pictures, but in real life the effect is spectacular. This PRS John Mayer Silver Sky Ltd Edition MN is exactly what John Mayer expects from his instrument. Pickups, neck profile and the majestic Lunar Ice finish were all designed to his personal specifications. The powerful trio of single-coil pickups delivers a unique, clear and articulate tone. Compared to my Fender Custom Shop pickups, these PRS versions sound both more sparkling and deeper at the same time. You really have to hear it to appreciate it. Deze ‘Lunar Ice’ is van 2021 en heeft dus de eerste, heel krachtige pick-ups van de Silver Sky serie. Een iconische gitaar die slechts een zeer beperkte tijd werd geproduceerd. De ‘Lunar Ice’ finish is werkelijk verbluffend omdat al naargelang de lichtinval de kleur varieert van diep paars naar blauw en blauwgrijs. (zie foto’s). Op foto is deze variatie aan kleuren moeilijk vast te leggen, maar in het echt is het effect fantastisch. Deze PRS John Mayer Silver Sky Ltd Edition MN is exact wat John van zijn gitaar verwacht. Pickups, halsprofiel en de majestueuze Lunar Ice finish zijn dan ook volledig naar zijn voorkeur gemaakt. Het krachtige trio Single Coils heeft een unieke, heldere klank.
