Chinese porcelain small teapot butterflies –China- Kangxi period On offer is a Chinese porcelain pumpkin shaped small teapot, decorated in imari palet with a decoration all-around of flying butterflies and insects.The same decoration is repeated on the lid. This teapot has a single hole spout opening, and a nice cut foot rim, typical from the Kangxi period. Provenance: from a private Dutch collection from Noord Holland province in the Netherlands. Date: Kangxi period 1662-1722 ca. 1700-1720. Size: This teapot measures 10,5 cm from tip of spout to end of handle and 7,5 cm in height. Condition: Good, a short clean 1 cm tension hairline at the rim. 3 small restored frits under the lid and a restored frit at the spout only, invisible for the naked eye. Please see pictures.
