1964 Karuselli lounge chair designed by Yrjö Kukkapuro and produced by Haimi, Finland. The original manufacturer’s label (“Made in Finland – Design by Yrjö Kukkapuro – Haimi”) is present, confirming authenticity. This is the iconic Karuselli model with the sculptural fiberglass shell, white pedestal swivel base, and upholstered brown leather seating. The chair features the characteristic flowing, ergonomic form designed to support the body in a relaxed, reclined position. Condition (honest, as per photos): The chair is in used vintage condition with clear signs of age and wear, consistent with long-term use: • Leather upholstery shows heavy patina, cracking and wear, particularly to the armrest edges and front corners • Visible tears and splits in the leather at stress points (see close-up photos) • General surface wear, scuffs and creasing throughout the leather • Fiberglass shell and white base show light marks and surface scratches but remain structurally sound • Metal support bracket intact • Chair swivels correctly The chair is structurally solid , the swivel and swing of the chrome arm moves flawlessly.
