A refined Japanese decorative kabuto (samurai helmet) created by Uehara Gyokuhō (上原玉鳳), a traditional doll master born in 1946 and heir to a long-established artisan family founded in 1887 (Meiji 20). This kabuto was produced during the late Showa period, an era known for elaborate craftsmanship and high-quality materials. The work features finely detailed gold-plated metal engraving (chōkin) with floral motifs inspired by the theme of “kachō fūgetsu” (beauty of nature).
