Original antique manual coffee grinder manufactured by Peugeot Frères in Valentigney (Doubs), France, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The grinder features the characteristic solid wooden box with a metal hemispherical dome and curved iron crank. The original oval brass badge is present on the front, reading “Peugeot Frères – Modèle Déposé – Valentigney (Doubs)”, with the iconic lion-and-arrow emblem. In addition to the front badge, the metal dome bears a subtle embossed manufacturer’s marking, vertically aligned with the badge, consistent with early Peugeot production and confirming the originality of the metal components. The piece has undergone a light and respectful restoration, limited to careful cleaning and stabilization. No parts have been replaced, and the original materials, patina, and construction have been preserved. The wood retains its authentic aged surface, while the metal shows natural oxidation and wear consistent with age. The drawer is present and functional. The grinding mechanism turns and appears complete; however, due to the age of the item, it has not been tested for modern use and is sold as a collectible. A genuine and well-preserved example of early Peugeot craftsmanship, suitable for collectors of antique kitchenware and Peugeot memorabilia.
