This set was produced circa 1900 by the renowned firm Ludwig Bertsch (Karlsruhe). ​The Serving Spoon (117g): Features a magnificent Vermeil (gold-plated silver) bowl, designed both for aesthetic luxury and to protect the silver from oxidation. The bowl showcases intricate hand-cut ajouré (pierced) work and fine floral engravings. A solid silver server with a polished finish. It is decorated with elegant hand-engraved foliate scrolls that match the motif of the spoon. Both pieces feature heavy, high-relief handles in the Louis XVI / Neo-Classical style, decorated with laurel garlands, ribbons, and acanthus leaf details. ​ Ludwig Bertsch, Karlsruhe (Germany).
