The Pottery of Chung Lai (Chunglai), Szechwan Historic Notes on the Po Jen (Beh Ren) Reprinted from the West China Border Research Society Journal, Vol. VIII (1936). These papers relate to archaeological and ethnographic research in Sichuan (Szechwan), China, during the Republican period (pre-1949). Graham was an American missionary and scholar active in West China, and his work is considered early documentation of regional material culture and minority groups. Original 1936 printings – not modern reproductions. Condition: Fair, consistent with age. Edge wear, foxing, age toning and old tape residue visible. Structurally complete and stable. A scarce pair of early 20th-century academic publications relating to Chinese archaeology and ethnography.
