Magnificent and rare Ericsson telephone, with brandname in the handset (battery also has the name Ericsson), dating from first years of 20th century.
This marvel still has the original batteries and the dial has the word PGEM inscribed on it. This is a true jewel, a version with a double bell. Perfectly restored by specilized professional. Batteries probably not for use.
The telephone network owned by PGEM (in The Netherlands) was an importante mean of communication during the I World War. The Résistance (underground French resistance) and the Military Police were eager to use the 4000 Km long network. That private network had many secret connections in strategic places, namely along the border.
