Austrian 14k yellow gold (585 fineness) pendant , likely dating from the late 19th century or earlier, featuring a hand-painted enamel miniature portrait in the style of 18th-19th century Georgian or Regency-era European portraiture.
The piece measures approximately 4.5x5 cm in diameter, weighs 11.2 grams, and is designed as a medallion with an ornate filigree surround composed of twisted rope motifs and pointed leaf-like petals, giving it a floral or sunburst appearance. The front houses an oval enamel portrait under glass or crystal, depicting a young woman with wavy auburn hair, fair skin, blue eyes, and period attire (low-necked blue or gray dress with white accents), rendered in soft, romantic brushwork reminiscent of artists like Thomas Gainsborough or Sir Thomas Lawrence.
The portrait is signed with the initials "PB" in the lower section.
The reverse side is blank and smooth, possibly intended for engraving or housing a memento like hair or a photo, typical of sentimental Victorian-era mourning or lover's eye jewelry, though this lacks gemstones or additional decoration.
