→7.4 cm long x 4 cm wide It is a beautiful and thin profile Sokolovi shark teeth probably of the upper jaw with excellent serrations. It features one cusp with serrations while the other cusp is lost either to fossilization process or fossil retrieval. Sokolovi teeth have their own beauty and looks compared to more famous & sought after shark teeth like hats of Megalodon, White shark and Chubutensis etc. The whole fossil is covered with small white lines as if they are randomly drawn by some artist but infact these white lightening pattern is due interaction of plant roots with the fossils over the course of million of years which results in those white lines. Interestingly there is few black lines on inner region of the teeth. Again these black lines can be due to plant root or some other geological reasons like presence of phosphates mineral and so forth. The teeth features a nice bourlette and a thick root compared to overall size of the teeth. Due to unsymmetric roots, the tooth leans on its side which makes it very cool in terms of looks but the most beautiful looks is the front looks of the teeth laying on its back as it resembles a sleek racing car. Sokolovi was a large shark capable to taking large prey and it lived during late Eocene to early Oligocene. Withtin Otodus family it is sometimes placed between Otodus auriculatus and Otodus angustidens and sometime it is regarded as Otodus auriculatus. It is a very interesting ancient shark in its own realm which will eventually give rise to the largest shark ever known and part of Otuudus family i.e., Otuudus Megalodon.
