Product Details Features: This is a masterpiece from a long-established company that has been recognized as the sole legitimate successor of Kimekomi dolls by Kamigamo Shrine in Kyoto, the birthplace of Kimekomi dolls. Technique (Kimekomi): This doll is crafted using a sophisticated Japanese technique in which grooves are carved into the body of "Toso," a hardened paulownia wood powder, and fabric is inserted into these grooves (Kimekomi). Design: Facial Expression: The doll's unique facial features combine elegance with cuteness. The more you look at it, the more it becomes appealing, and its plump, rounded form exudes its charm. Costume: The color scheme is modern, based on meticulous research into Heian period costumes.
