Seltene Sommerhochzeits-Kimono: Exquisites weißes Seiden-Uchikake mit 'Spitzen'-Optik – Florale - Japan - Shōwa Zeit (1926-1989)

Object: Japanese Summer Kimono (Uchikake) Material: Sheer Silk / Lace-Weave Blend Period: Late 20th Century Condition: Good (Vintage) Origin: Japan Description: We are presenting a truly exceptional and rare piece of Japanese bridal attire: a Summer (Natsu-mono) White Uchikake. Unlike the traditional, heavy brocade Uchikake worn during cooler months, this ethereal garment is designed for a summer wedding. It features a stunning "lace-style" open weave, likely a high-quality silk organza or silk-blend gauze, which provides a sophisticated transparency perfect for the heat of Japanese summer. The Design: The kimono is adorned with an all-over floral motif, featuring large, swirling blossoms (resembling stylized Sakura or Peonies) embroidered directly into the sheer fabric. The interplay of the opaque embroidery against the transparent background creates a breathtaking visual depth when layered over a white under-kimono (Kake-ashita). Despite its visual lightness, it retains the traditional dignity of a wedding robe, featuring the characteristic "Fuki" (padded hem). The hem is weighted and padded with white silk, ensuring the garment trails beautifully on the floor as the bride walks. Characteristics: Type: Summer Uchikake (Wedding Over-Robe). Color: Pure White / Off-White (Shiromuku style). Fabric: Sheer, lace-like silk weave with embroidery. Airy and breathable. Lining: Unlined body (for summer wear) with a padded hem. Condition Report: The item is in Good Vintage Condition. The fabric retains its strength and structural integrity. Please note: As this is a vintage white garment, there may be very faint, minor age spots or slight yellowing in small areas upon close inspection (typical of white vintage silk), but nothing that detracts from the overall beauty or wearability of the piece. There is a small dark spot on the white cotton padding on the inside Dimensions (Approximate): Length 180.5cm (from shoulder) Sleeve length 66.5cm Sleeve length 103.5cm (seam 6.5cm) Sleeve width 33.5cm Front width 26cm Back width 31cm Kimono sewn- in hem 0cm
