Tischlampe (2) - Doppelbirnenlampen - Walnuss
Table lamps in the shape of a vase or amphora in the Neoclassical style, often dating from the 1920s to the 1950s. These types of lamps were typically made of wood or composite materials, often with gilded decoration and painted surfaces (such as marble or dark green).
Characteristics and types
Similar pieces can be found among several well-known manufacturers and styles:
Borghese: These lamps, made of a gypsum-composite base, were often made with gilding and painted green.
Frederick Cooper: Known for his lamps with a similar silhouette made of a combination of high-quality wood and brass.
The examples shown in the photo are unique in their two-bulb design, where the bulbs emerge at an angle from a central vinyl or metal housing. This solution was common in neoclassical-inspired pieces of the Art Deco and Mid-Century Modern eras. The shades for the lamps are made of brown, ribbed material, which complements the antique look of the body.
The lamps are in very good condition for their age. They operate with a small pull switch system. One of them turns on and off alternately, the other turns on both bulbs at the same time.We bought them with these ribbed brown lampshades, which aren't exactly right for them, but they're designed to look good. Of course, you can also buy another one that might fit better. We will ship it together with the beige vintage bulbs so you don't have to worry about it.
We can post it carefully packaged, in an insured, registered package.
