Vom Verkäufer bereitgestellte Beschreibung
"CLICK! Photographers Make Picture Books" is an exhibition at the Eric Carle Museum (Jan 17–June 7, 2026) highlighting the history of photographers using their "camera eye" to create children's books. Featuring over 90 works from the 1890s to today, it explores how artists like Tana Hoban, William Wegman, and Edward Steichen use photography to document life, create narratives, and present everyday objects to young readers.
Prominently mentioned in articles covering this exhibition is this book with 24 full-page children photographs (printed, on rectos only, in photogravure) by Edward Steichen.
Condition: Brown colored cloth boards, these are stained, cloth at bottom of spine loose, binding firm, interior with several partly removed pencil marks and some water stains along page edges, private library sticker and writing on front endpaper, the photographs in beautiful gravure printing are quite fresh. Overall a fair copy for its age and taking into account that it quite certainly was used by children.
