An exquisite Napoléon III liquor cabinet with beautifully aged wood and a fine marquetry with brass inlay framinh on the top The cabinet is designed to hold a complete set of crystal glassware, this one has 3 Harcourt baccarat Referenced as S.823crystal decanters. Each decanter has its corresponding stopper, although they look the same , but they have the slightest differences, a sign of the refined and renowned handmaking annd craftsmanship of the French cristallerie. One of the decanter has some chips as shown in the photo,. They decanters are beautifully stored along of several cut-glass matching liqueur glasses. The cabinet features two secret compartments, as it was something very incorporated in many dressing table and other pieces of furniture in the 19th century. These cabinets served as functional and decorative luxury items used for storing and serving fine spirits in upper-class households. The Harcourt 1841 collection, the oldest in the Baccarat archive, is reputed for its iconic design. Since its creation in 1841, Harcourt 1841 stemware has been selected by Pope John-Paul II, the Queen of Thailand, the King of Morocco, and many other important figures.
