Berühmter NWA 7831 Diogenit-Meteorit – Natürliches Fragment-Lot mit grünen Kristallen - 20 g

----- Description : ----- I am pleased to offer this lot of several natural fragments of the Northwest Africa 7831 (NWA 7831) diogenite meteorite, presented as found. These pieces display the beautiful crystalline structure typical of diogenites, composed mainly of translucent yellow-green orthopyroxene crystals. The material shows a striking crystalline texture with greenish tones that make this meteorite particularly attractive to collectors. Diogenites belong to the HED achondrite group (Howardites–Eucrites–Diogenites) and are believed to originate from the crust of the differentiated asteroid 4 Vesta. Their coarse crystalline structure represents deep crustal rocks formed within this ancient protoplanet. This lot includes several natural fragments totaling 20 grams, offering an excellent opportunity to own multiple pieces of this rare achondritic meteorite. A beautiful and scientifically important meteorite displaying green crystalline structure typical of diogenites. “NWA 7831 Diogenite Meteorite – Natural Fragment Lot with Green Crystals” ----- Meteorite Details : ----- Meteorite name: Northwest Africa 7831 (NWA 7831) Meteorite type: Achondrite Group: HED achondrite – Diogenite Origin: Western Sahara Coordinates: 27.307°N, 12.083°W Year found: 2013 Observed fall: No Total known mass: ~20 kg Official classification: Meteoritical Bulletin MB 103 (2014) ----- Offered Specimen : ----- Total weight: 20 g Pieces: Several natural fragments Condition: As found, natural fragments Structure: Crystalline orthopyroxene-rich diogenite with green translucent crystals ------ History & Presentation : ------ Northwest Africa 7831 was discovered in March 2013 near Chouichiyat in Western Sahara and excavated from the ground by local finders.
