An elegant Art Deco vase produced by Boch Frères Keramis in La Louvière, Belgium, dating to around 1930. The vase features a rounded baluster form with applied loop handles and a striking decorative scheme. The central band is decorated with stylised floral motifs in vivid red-orange with black and ochre foliage on a white ground. The upper and lower sections are finished in a soft satin sky-blue glaze with fine gilded bands, creating a refined contrast typical of the Art Deco decorative aesthetic. The base bears the Boch Frères Keramis factory stamp, together with the form number F495 and decor number D R161, consistent with the factory’s cataloguing system used during the interwar period. The decorative treatment, colour palette and enamel technique correspond closely with designs created for Boch Frères Keramis during the Art Deco period. The piece is attributed to Raymond Chevallier, who worked as a designer for the factory and later became artistic director following Charles Catteau. Chevallier is known for developing elegant ceramic forms with stylised floral ornamentation and refined colour contrasts, characteristics visible in this vase. A decorative and collectible example of Belgian Art Deco ceramic design. Light wear to the gilded decoration and small glaze wear around the handles consistent with handling over time. Minor firing imperfections typical of period production. No cracks or restorations observed.
