Circular body, the central discus decorated with Heracles, standing nude, holding a spear towards the Erymanthian boar arising from vegetation. Two refilling holes, encircled by floral decoration in high relief, a short nozzle with channel, single handle to rear, set on a short ring foot.

Material: Terracotta
Culture: Roman, c. 2nd-4th Century A.D.
Condition: Intact
Provenance: Previously with Royal-Athena Galleries, New York; Raport Collection, acquired from the above, 17 November 1984; Lloyd and Jeanne Raport Collection, Washington DC and Florida, formed between 1972 – 2000.
