Ernst Willy Zöphel (1893–1973) was a bow maker based in Rohrbach, a small village in Saxony, Germany.
He is recognized for crafting high-quality, sought-after violin bows, often made from pernambuco wood with silver mounts, dating to around 1940.
His bows are considered rare, coveted, and suitable for professional players.

Back – One Piece – Maple (Nicely Grained).
Table – One Piece - Fine Grain Spruce.
Body Length – 14 3/16 inches (361 mm).
Overall Length – 23 inches. (584mm).
Bouts – 1½ inches (38mm).
Tailpiece inlaid with mother-of-pearl - with 4 inbuilt Fine Tuners.
Maple Bridge. Along with a Chin Rest, Shoulder-Rest and ‘fully-haired’ bow in good working order.
Fully Strung with Dominant strings.
There is a sound-post installed and the violin has no cracks, but only some minor age-related marks, otherwise in good condition.
CONDITION
Very Good Overall. No cracks, minor scratches, otherwise nice condition.
