Mino ware - Sozan - Chawan (5) - Porzellan - Mino Shino Ware Sake-Becher

Set of 5 Japanese Mino Shino Ware Sake Cups (Gui-nomi) by Shoengama Kiln (Sozan) - Gifu Pref. Toki City - In Original Tomobako Box Description: This is a beautiful set of five authentic Mino Shino-ware sake cups (gui-nomi), made in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, the heartland of classic Japanese ceramics. Shino ware is renowned for its thick, milky-white feldspar glaze, which develops a beautiful, soft texture called "yuzuhada" (citron skin). This set offers a wonderful variety of Shino "keshiki" (scenery): White Shino: Classic thick, cloudy white glaze with delicate crackles. Grey Shino (Nezumi-Shino): A more refined, cool-grey toned glaze. Aka-Shino (Red Shino): Warm, amber-toned glazes created by the kiln's iron and fire. Each cup is robustly crafted, designed to sit comfortably in the hand for a pleasant drinking experience. Artist and Kiln: The cups come in their original shared wooden storage box (Tomobako). The cover features elegant calligraphy. On the main cover, the calligraphy reads "志野" (Shino) and "盃" (Sakazuki/Cups). On the left side, it features the kiln/artist signature "荘山" (Sozan) along with the official red seal (rakkan) of the Shoengama Kiln (荘園窯). Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. The set has been preserved very well and appears barely used, if at all. Please inspect the photographs carefully for the texture and characteristics of each individual cup. Dimensions: Height: Approx. 4.5 cm Diameter: Approx. 7.0 cm (Please see the photo with the ruler for scale in centimeters.) Shipping Information: The item will be carefully packaged and shipped with a tracking number. It will be shipped from Japan. Customs duties and other fees are the responsibility of the customer.
