【Product details】
A premium two-piece set of Karatsu ware, crafted by the renowned Nakazato Tarōemon XIII (1923–2009), the head of one of the most prestigious lineages in Japanese ceramics.
This set includes:
E-Karatsu Yunomi (Tea Cup): Featuring the classic underglaze iron painting characteristic of the "E-Karatsu" style. The simple yet profound brushwork on the rustic clay body perfectly captures the Wabi-sabi aesthetic.
Snake Incense Container (Kōgō): An auspicious piece created for the Year of the Snake (Kanoto-mi). It features a charming and artistic depiction of a coiled snake, used in tea ceremonies to hold incense.
The Nakazato family has been at the heart of Karatsu ceramics for centuries, and the 13th generation master was instrumental in modernizing the craft while preserving its ancient soul. This set is a wonderful opportunity for collectors to own works by a true master of the kiln.
The items come in their original wooden box (Tomobako), signed and sealed by the artist.

Both items are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Pristine state. Please refer to the photos for details.
