It features a design modeled after ancient Chinese bronze ware, and has a substantial, weighty finish. Made by: Shibuya Hoshu (Metalworker of Takaoka copperware) Material: Bronze (cast bronze) Pattern: Geometric patterns such as the Taotie pattern and Thunder pattern, commonly found on ancient Chinese bronze ware, are applied. This is a traditional design believed to have the meaning of warding off evil. Shape: Square (rectangular), with a stable and solid form. Signature (mark): The mark "Hoshu" is engraved on the bottom of the vase.
