This beautiful large baby was made by Hertel, Schwab§Co. for König§Wernicke in 1910 in Germany. This is a character doll, marked "Made in Germany 98/13". The high-quality bisque head is in perfect condition. The original sleep glass brown eyes. Dark eyelashes. The original blond mohair wig. Pierced nostrils - typical of some König§Wernicke dolls. Open mouth with 2 small teeth. Movable tongue. The original composite body is very well preserved, one finger was glued. Non-functional cryer. The christening dress is not original, but it is valuable because it is an original outfit from Käthe Kruse's workshop, which was sewn on one of her rarest models "Du Mein". Fits perfect to the baby. White-pink hat and pearl necklace. The baby is massive, she would fit (not only) in an antique stroller, it measures 60 cm. The König§Wernicke company was known for the high quality of their dolls.
