The Rolling Stones - Their Satanic Majesties Request - Vinylschallplatte - 1. Stereopressung - 1967

General Information Artist: The Rolling Stones Title: Their Satanic Majesties Request Label: London Records Catalog number: NPS-2 Format: Vinyl, LP, Album, Stereo, 3D Lenticular Gatefold Cover Year: 1967 Country: US Edition: First US Pressing Genre: Psychedelic Rock Description Released in December 1967, Their Satanic Majesties Request represents The Rolling Stones' most experimental and psychedelic period. It was the first album the band produced themselves, recorded during a tumultuous year marked by the infamous drug busts of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. The album is frequently compared to the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and as a playful nod, the faces of all four Beatles are hidden in the flowers on the front cover. It features iconic tracks like "She's a Rainbow" and "2000 Light Years from Home," showcasing Brian Jones's multi-instrumental brilliance with the Mellotron. Condition Vinyl: Presumed MINT (unplayed) Jacket: Factory-sealed, never opened (tears and wear by the periphery, see pics). Notes for collectors This is the highly sought-after original US Stereo pressing featuring the authentic 3D lenticular (holographic) cover. Because the 3D tip-on was extremely expensive to manufacture, it was discontinued shortly after the initial release and replaced with a standard 2D photo, making these original versions rare "grails" for collectors. Finding a copy still in its original factory shrink wrap—even with tears and corner wear—is exceptionally rare, as the thick 3D glue often caused the covers to warp or the shrink to split over the last 60 years. Matrix/Labels Matrix / Runout: Presumed ZAL-8078 / ZAL-8079 (Standard for NPS-2) Label Details: London Records "Full Frequency Stereophonic Sound" (Blue label with silver text) Manufacturing: Printed in U.S.A.
