Antique, regal and spiritually powerful Golok Sulangkar knife from Baduy est. abad XIV-era (19th Century) Rare, antique wilah with stunning Kuta Mesir (silver inlay) decoration with matching warangka. This majestic short sword from Baduy is far more than a ceremonial blade it is a real piece of history, Traditionally wielded by a tukang jagal (slaughter expert) during the sacred Eid al-Adha ceremonies. This Sulangkar carries a remarkable provenance. Its lineage traces back to an ancestor who served as a tukang jagal for one of Baduy's families. Its masterfully forged wilah (blade) boasts rare and stunning Kuta Mesir (silver inlay) decoration, a testament to its regal past and the skilled hands that crafted it. The top of this magnificent implement is adorned with a beautiful hilt featuring elaborate carvings, while a perfectly matching warangka (scabbard) completes its distinguished and beautiful pressence. Although this piece shows signs of use it has fantastic rich decoration. The patina, of the old wood and the remains of red paint which indicates its considerable age, combined with its elegant design, make it an ethnographic object of great interest.
