Porzellan-Wassertropfer (Suiteki) mit Moschee und Wüstenlandschaft - Yusuke Miyazaki - Porzellan - Yusuke Miyazaki / 宮崎祐輔 (b. 1954) - Japan - Heisei Zeit (1989-heute)

Description: This square porcelain water dropper is painted in overglaze enamels on a clear white ground, its surfaces unfolding across each plane of the form. The body is slightly tapered, with a diagonal spout extending from one corner, creating a measured balance between function and geometry. The top is covered with fine blue arabesque scrolls (karakusa), arranged densely across the surface and centered on a small circular aperture for airflow. The precision of this pattern contrasts with the more open scenes that appear along the sides. Each panel presents elements of a desert landscape: a mosque with a turquoise-colored dome and minaret, palm trees, a crescent moon, and a camel moving across sand dunes. These motifs are distributed across the faces of the vessel, shifting gently as the piece is turned in the hand. The base is signed by the artist. The piece is accompanied by a signed wooden storage box (tomobako). Dimensions: Width: 6.2 cm Depth: 5.2 cm Height: 4.3 cm Weight: 50 grams Condition: No chips, cracks or restorations. Artist Profile: Yusuke Miyazaki / 宮崎祐輔 (b. 1954) Born in Arita, Saga Prefecture, Yusuke Miyazaki is a contemporary ceramic artist who studied under the Living National Treasure, Imaizumi Imaemon XIII. His work is characterized by the fusion of traditional Arita porcelain techniques with motifs inspired by his travels along the Silk Road, particularly Middle Eastern landscapes. He is a member of the Japan Art Crafts Association and has held numerous solo exhibitions at major department stores such as Mitsukoshi and Takashimaya. Additional Notes Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the item description.
