The instrument is in ready to play condition with some small, professionally repaired cracks, new rosewood set up and new strings. The violin has an excellent straight medium grained spruce of the top and one piece back of softly flamed maple with matched sides and scroll. Rich golden brown reddish varnish shows an amazing wooden choice. The whole length of the violin is 594 mm and the back 359 mm.
