Big Peat "Peat of Art" is a limited filling of the well-known blended malt, exclusively for the German market. This edition was bottled in barrel strength, unfiltered and without dyes, and matured in former cognac barrels of the renowned house J.G. Monnet. With only 402 bottles worldwide, this whisky is a true collector's item and impresses not only with its aromas, but also with the artistic design of its packaging, which celebrates the combination of whisky and art. The whisky unfolds the salty, smoky peat notes in the nose, accompanied by juicy barley. On the palate it shows itself powerfully with an intense peat note and fresh smoke, which is played by a fine sweetness and an oily-creamy mouth feeling. The finish is long and full-bodied, whereby the peat unfolds even further and is accompanied by an elegant fruity note.
