Scratch Built 5-Zoll-Gleisweite - Modellbahnlokomotive (1) - 5-Zoll-Live-Dampflokomotive mit Sattel-Tank, Achsfolge 0-6-0, England, 20. Jahrhundert – Vereinigtes

5″ gauge 0-6-0 Saddle Tank locomotive England, 20th century This 5″ gauge 0-6-0 saddle tank locomotive is a powerful and characterful example of high-quality live-steam model building. Compact in size but distinctive in appearance, with a design that combines functional engineering and careful proportion. Although the shape shows a resemblance to the well-known Simplex , no original Simplex parts have been used. The design and execution suggest an independent design, presumably by John Drury , a respected and prolific model maker. This example is part of a very small series of four locomotives , which enhances its rarity and collectible value. The locomotive features a recent steam boiler test , making it not only a visually convincing object but also a technically functional model. The construction demonstrates a deep understanding of steam technology and driving characteristics, combined with a clear, purposeful aesthetic. Offered in the condition in which it was received. Any visible signs of use or minor imperfections are part of the object and contribute to its authenticity. A remarkable piece of model building history, where craftsmanship, technology, and character come together — equally suitable for display within a collection as for use on the layout. Please note that this item is a pick-up only item. Note from seller - These is a working model. An inspection is required for use. It has the necessary papers, but these have since expired. I am willing to go through this inspection process again together with any potential buyer. It is important to note that this concerns only the inspection and not the technical condition of the models themselves.
