Strahlend smaragdgrüne Pfingstrose — japanische Musen Cloisonné-Vase, Showa-Zeit - Emaille - Japan - 1900–2000

Item Description A fine Japanese cloisonné enamel (shippō-yaki) vase featuring a vivid emerald-green ground decorated with a large white and yellow peony (botan) blossom rendered in the musen (wireless) technique. In musen cloisonné, the metal wires used to define the design are removed before firing, allowing the enamel glazes to blend softly into one another, producing the characteristic painterly gradations of colour visible in the petals and leaves. The peony — the "king of flowers" in Japanese symbolism — is depicted in full bloom, its generous white petals shading to pale yellow at the centre, surrounded by lush, teal-toned foliage that wraps around the body of the vase. The rich, glossy emerald ground provides a striking contrast that heightens the luminosity of the design. The neck, rim, and base are finished with polished silver-metal fittings, a hallmark of quality Japanese cloisonné production from the Showa period (1926–1989). The form is a classic ovoid vase shape tapering gracefully to the neck. The interior of the neck is lined with matching green enamel. This piece exemplifies the refined craftsmanship of mid-twentieth-century Japanese cloisonné, and would make an elegant decorative addition to any collection. Size Height: 21.5 cm Width: 11 cm Depth: 11 cm Weight 797 g Condition The vase is in very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or significant losses to the enamel; minor light surface scratches consistent with age and gentle use may be present. NOITICE: The lot will be carefully packaged and sent by Japan Post, DHL or FedEx depend on the situation. It takes about 3 weeks to receive normally. Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Sometimes Customes or delivery company in your country contact you for Customs clearance via phone or email. Please make sure that you could answer the phone. If you don't, the parcel will return to me and it cost more double shipping fee for reshipping. I appreciate your cooperation.
