Shuhō Takasaki 高崎秋峰 - Natsume - Holz - Lackierte Natsume-Schachtel

Lacquered natsume box decorated with Japanese family crests and traditional patterns. The lid is decorated with patterns of chrysanthemums, waves, seven treasures, and floral diamonds, while the sides feature patterns of paulownia, chrysanthemums, and pine. Each emblem has been used as a crest of the Imperial family or carries meanings such as weddings, marital harmony, and longevity, so it seems that this tea utensil was made for use on celebratory occasions. About the Artist: ShuhōTakasaki is a traditional Japanese lacquerware artist, particularly known for his maki-e techniques. His works feature intricate maki-e decorations, gold backgrounds, and awabi shell inlays, and many of them can be used from spring to autumn. Shuhō's works are especially highly regarded as tea utensils and antique art pieces, showcasing beautiful designs through the skilled use of maki-e techniques. It is difficult to see, but when light is reflected, the artist's name is engraved on the bottom of the jujube. The artist's name is written on both the box and the cloth inside as well. There are no noticeable stains or scratches on the Natsume itself. There are a few minor scratches. The wooden box has some stains. *The wooden board shown in the image is a photography prop and is not included with the product.
